Austin Knudsen Tied to Dangerous Conspiracy Theories (Again)
Trend Alert: Austin Knudsen has extreme views and is out-of-step with Republican and Montana values.
The latest example: Knudsen held an event with Republican Public Service Commission candidate Jennifer Fielder and Republican State Senate candidate Theresa Manzella. Both candidates have “expressed dangerous anti-government views,” according to the Montana Post.
- “When she is not inventing Antifa invasions of Montana out of whole cloth, Senator Fielder calls federal law enforcement officers murderers, celebrates those who had armed standoffs with the government, and associates with [anti-government] militia groups who saw her as their voice in the Montana Legislature.”
- “Manzella, while far less influential than Fielder, spoke at a militia event just a few months ago in Idaho, appearing alongside a Washington State rep who was charged with political violence against the US, supported an armed rebellion against the United States, and helped host an event for anti-government militia supporters.”
Knudsen repeatedly aligns himself with groups like QAnon and the Oathkeepers, organizations that support the elimination of highway patrol and other forms of law enforcement meant to protect the public.
Just like Knudsen, these dangerous, extremist views seek to divide and harm Montanans. Knudsen seems to be supporting dangerous chaos instead of law & order.
The bottom line: whether it’s condoning conspiracy theories, taking health care away, cutting off access to public lands or supporting defunding the Montana DOJ, Austin Knudsen is too extreme for Montana.
